. Species Info .

Aquabelles are humanoid creatures that reside in freshwater desert oases. They are around 12 inches tall and have lungs built to breathe both water and air. They typically feed off algae and sunlight,
and can only leave the water for short periods of time due to the desert heat. They have a lifespan of around 50 years, but have had trouble surviving as they are restricted to the oasis waters.
Each Aquabelle carries around a little bottle of water with them when on land, which can last them up to around 30 minutes before needing a refill. Typically, an Aquabelle will
never see anything outside of the oasis due to these restrictions, so they make sure to keep life in the oasis exciting! They are very peaceful creatures, and live in harmony with any other animals in the oasis.

. Physical Features .

One of their most recognizable features is the thin, veil-like fins branching off of their ears. These can also be found on the lower half of their legs as well as on the tail.
These fins serve no true purpose to swimming and can actually slow them down when walking on land. They tend to be quite short as Aquabelles never tend to live past 20 years, making long fins quite rare.
